Paul Brown is a chartered surveyor who has lived and worked in Hong Kong since 1979. He is a Fellow of both the RICS and HKIS and is a Registered Professional Surveyor. In 1988 he became Chief Executive of Sallmanns and in 1990 acquired the business operations of the group in Asia. He has undertaken numerous major valuation assignments and acted as an expert valuer on many occasions. He has received many appointments to act as Arbitrator / Independent Valuer and has advised the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong on valuation methodology, having undertaken a significant number of instructions for public flotation purposes. He has been an appointed member of the Lands’ Tribunal, and has served on the Executive Committee and several regulatory bodies of the General Practice Division of the RICS (HK) Branch. He was the vice chairman of the Business Valuation committee of the Institute of Directors. In 2008 the business operations of Sallmanns were acquired by Jones Lang LaSalle, a global property consultancy listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Paul Brown is currently CEO of Jones Lang LaSalle Sallmanns and is a regional director within the Asia-Pacific group.
