Qualifications BA, Durham University, honours degree in history Chartered Accountant, Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales Experience Richard joined KPMG in London in 1988 and he qualified as a chartered accountant in 1991. He gained audit and investigation experience in a general practice environment before specialising in transaction advisory work in the mid-1990s. He was appointed partner in Transaction Services, London in 2001 and transferred to Moscow in 2006 He has considerable experience in leading KPMG involvement in IPO/twin track processes, private and public acquisitions, JVs, refinancing and disposals including vendor initiated due diligence over an 18 year period. He has broad sector experience across all of industrial markets, including the metals and mining industry. He is responsible for leading the transaction advisory relationship with a number of large companies and private equity houses. His transaction experience covers Russia, CIS, Western and Eastern Europe, North America, China, Malaysia, Japan and the Middle East Richard leads Capital Markets practice in Russia and CIS and has been responsible for numerous IPO transactions, more recently the UC Rusal’s IPO on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Sector experience
